About Me
My name is Merete Sommerlund. I was born and raised in Denmark, but moved to Canada in 1999, where I completed my Bachelors Degree (Honours) in Psychology at University of Calgary, followed by my Masters/PhD from the Nationally Accredited Clinical Psychology program at University of Saskatchewan. In 2009, I moved to Nova Scotia to complete my pre-doctoral residency at the Annapolis Valley Health Authority (now Nova Scotia Health Authority). I accepted a position with the Child and Youth Mental Health program following my residency, where I worked until 2017 when I accepted a position at CBI Health Centre in New Minas.

Just a regular person...
I live in Wolfville with my three children, three cats, and our beloved Flatcoated Retriever, Bear. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, campfires, playing guitar and singing, watching movies, cooking and eating good food, and I dream of living on a homestead in the Gasperau Valley with homegrown food and animals.
